Updates to the IIBA South Africa Chapter 2026/27 Board Election Schedule

Thank you for your continued support of the IIBA South Africa Chapter. Due to some unforeseen developments, the Board has approved updates to the 2026/27 election schedule. These changes ensure a fair, transparent process for all nominees and members.

1. Nominations Re-Opened
Feedback indicated that the original nomination window was too short. As a result, nominations have been re-opened.

• All existing nominations remain valid.

• Anyone wishing to withdraw their nomination must notify the Election Officer in writing before voting begins.

2. New Requirement: Acceptance of Nomination Letter
All nominees (existing and new) must sign an Acceptance of Nomination Letter.

• Existing nominees will receive the letter directly.

• New nominees will receive it once their nomination is confirmed.

• A nominee is only eligible to stand for election once the signed letter is received within the specified timeframe.

3. Membership Requirements
All nominees must be paid-up members of both IIBA Global and the IIBA South Africa Chapter.

• Those needing to renew membership may do so during the nomination acceptance window.

4. Voting Moved to January 2026
The previous ballot issued via ElectionBuddy has been cancelled. All earlier votes have been discarded, and a new voting process will take place in January 2026.
