News - BASSA 2015 Conference Anouncement

3/9/2015
BASSA2015 is happening on 28-30 September 2015and promises to be another bumper event!

Business Analysts constantly work with change. They identify what it is that needs to change, why it needs to change, how to effect the change, and when to effect the change. Then, as is often the case, they make sure, in partnership with project management, that the change actually happens, successfully. And then they move on, to more change. Now the very essence of Business Analysis is being changed; not only in the way that the discipline is being practiced but also in the way that it is being defined. The hypercompetitive and dynamic nature of global business is forcing the professional Business Analyst to reassess his or her change management skills to ensure that “things get done”.
Professional Business Analysts are having to extend their boundaries, redefine their limits and operate outside of their comfort zones. They’re having to innovate and do things differently. And they’re having to guide their stakeholders in understanding the role the new Business Analyst must play, not only in projects, but in the business itself, using innovative strategies to ensure the enterprise realises its objectives and drives out value.

Business Analysts already have access to a wealth of tools and techniques which, together with soft-skills honed by years of experience in the field, are able to differentiate a good Business Analyst from a great Business Analyst. Now the challenge is to push new boundaries and learn new techniques and skills. We should be challenged to innovate and push into the strategic sphere of the business, while still applying the fundamental skills and techniques which form our unique skills-base throughout the enterprise.

It is time to “Push the Boundaries!”
