By-Laws | IIBA South Africa Chapter
The purpose of the Chapter is to promote the practice of business analysis, raise the profile of the business analyst role, and locally represent the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®). The Chapter is run by a Board of Directors who are elected by Chapter members when their tenure ends or as required.
The Board is made up of volunteers who believe in the mission of the IIBA and promote the role of the business analyst as a recognized profession. The Board meets regularly to strategize and to reflect on the programs of the organisation.
The IIBA South Africa Chapter is committed to building a connected, capable, and future-ready business analysis community. Our 2026–2027 strategy focuses on supporting members throughout their professional journey through structured learning pathways, enhanced professional development, certification support, mentoring, and community engagement. As organisations navigate rapid change driven by AI, digital transformation, and evolving business needs, we aim to equip practitioners with the skills, knowledge, and networks required to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Our strategic priorities include improving member engagement, strengthening communication, expanding outreach to academic and corporate communities, enhancing governance and operational excellence, and fostering collaboration across the profession. Through these initiatives, we seek to advance the practice of business analysis in South Africa while creating lasting value for our members, partners, and the broader business community.
